Euromed: promoting youth entrepreneurship ahead of Expo 2015

(ANSAmed) – TUNIS, JUNE 23 – The Chamber of Commerce ItalAfrica Centrale aims to foster youth employment in the Euro-Mediterranean area and support international relations for Expo Milano 2005 through selecting 115 entrepreneurs or aspiring ones under age 35 for four-month internships with Italian, Libyan, Moroccan and Tunisian partner businesses. In addition, 30 university graduates under age 35 will be chosen for collaboration with Expo 2015 and another 30 for facilitated finance projects for developing countries. (suite…)

PARTNERS FOR TUNISIAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

TUNIS, April 17, 2014 – The World Bank approved an additional loan for US$100 million for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tunisia. This additional support will help finance scaling up a project that has shown good results in improving access to finance for Tunisian MSMEs. It will also add lines of credit for loans to micro-entrepreneurs, and patient financing — that is, long term financing with a grace period — for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). (suite…)
