New in 2018, the Prospect Forum, in partnership with the AAPG and open to participants of the ICE (International Conference and Exhibition event) will welcome the National Oil Companies, Independent Companies and Geo-Service Companies to present the new areas available oil and gas, negotiate new outsourcing opportunities and expose new data.
In parallel with the Prospect Forum, AOW’s amphitheater will also offer many panels throughout the week. Ministers and CEOs of SOEs from countries such as the Republic of Congo, Ghana, Madagascar and Uganda will present exclusive country demonstrations and calls for tenders highlighting new licenses and investment opportunities for global operators and investors.
The African Local Content Forum, in partnership with the Monitoring Committee on Nigerian Content Development (NCDMB) and sponsored by Shell, will host, on Wednesday, November 7, case studies and panels of discussion on 3 key aspects of local content: Work Force Development,
This year, the event will also feature the AOWomen initiative. This action designed to generalize the presence of women in the energy sector, develop capacity-building projects and gender equality is also aimed at ensuring that women have a presence and a voice in shaping energy policies. across Africa. The AOWomen initiative will kick off with an informative and exclusive breakfast sponsored by Noble Energy on Thursday, November 8th. AOW will also see the launch of the « Student Program » and the « Future Leaders Initiative ». Thus, the Summit will also host a session broadcast live on CNBC Africa on the morning of Thursday, November 8 around future financing models in the African energy sector. This panel will cover topics such as Global Financing, Mergers & Acquisitions in upstream African oil production and financing strategies. The session will be moderated by experts including Solomon Asamoah, CEO of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund, Paul McDade, CEO of Tullow Oil, and Somit Varna, Director of Warburg Pincus LLC.. Following this, three sessions will analyze the role of global financing in the African oil sector and the best way to conduct transactions.
