The Intel® Business Challenge Middle East and North Africa 2013 is the gateway to Intel® Global Challenge, a joint project of Intel® Corporation and the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley organized since 2005 , brings together the best engineers and scientists from around the world to present how they plan to make the world a better place through their innovations and entrepreneurial skills.

In collaboration with governments, NGO’s, prestigious research institutions, educators and industry across the Middle East and North Africa, Intel® is fostering entrepreneurship and advancing innovation to address global challenges and be able to provide individuals the opportunity to obtain the skills, technology and resources they need to build successful businesses that drive innovation, create employment, accelerate economic growth and have a positive impact on society.

The IBC-MENA 2013 will provide free education resources and a workshop organised with Abu Dhabi Education Council on the 12th of June, followed by a regional final award ceremony to be held in Abu Dhabi on 23rd of June 2013 to announce the top 4 winners who will get the opportunity to compete at the Intel Global Challenge at UC Berkley in the Silicon Valley in October 2013 for a chance to win up to $50,000.

22nd Apr, 2013 – 29th May, 2013 – 6 Webinar sessions held once a week to help develop your project’s business model and prototype

Jun, 2013 – Choose local and regional Intel Challenge Winners

Oct, 2013 – 4 winners will go to the Intel Global Challenge – Silicon Valley, USA

Intel Global Challenge

Founded in 2005 as a collaboration between UC Berkeley and Intel, Intel Global Challenge is the most recognized technology business plan competition that encourages emerging entrepreneurs and rewards ideas that have potential to become a new business or even a new industry. At the competition, student teams from around the world vie for $100.000 in prize money and receive direct feedback from leaders in the Silicon Valley entrepreneur
